Information Concepts' Legacy Migration Solutions will help you lower overall operating costs, improve client access, and simplify support of the infrastructure, without compromising investments in legacy application source code and operating procedures put in place over decades.

One government agency is saving several tens of thousands of Dollars a month after we moved just one batch process off their mainframe and onto Windows.

Our Approach to Legacy Migration

Since 1982, Information Concepts has provided fixed price solutions to our clients. Our Legacy Migration Practice offers fixed cost planning efforts to plan, migrate, and implement a sample application system. We work with:

Microsoft, for the operating system and server software
Mainframe quality Intel-based servers
Micro Focus for mainframe emulation and migration tools

Our initial projects show an effective migration of legacy COBOL source code with all of the associated JCL, network, and database environments converted to a Windows-based solution, using one of the following methods:

Re use- take your legacy programming from the mainframe hardware and transfer it to a .Net server, using Micro Focus technology to seamlessly integrate the legacy programming and the Microsoft programming.

Re write- Information Concepts will look at your current legacy system and evaluate the best way to update the legacy programming and data to up-to-date, Microsoft compatible programming.

Re license- Information Concepts recognizes that there are situations where commercial, off the shelf software is the best solution. If that is the case, we transfer the data from your legacy system to a commercial application, and place that converted data in a modern-day server.
